My first post, seriously

Hi All,
I have started about a dozen blogs here & there hoping to write seriously.
But, obviously, that didn't happen. I have promised myself that this will be a serious blog with serious content - not "serious" serious, but enough good content to make it worth your while.
So, here goes my first post, seriously.
